Thank you for your interest in SkinnyCon, the only conference focused exclusively on government technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM) personnel.
SkinnyCon 2027 will take place May 18-20, with set-up on May 17. We will have workshops, talks, demonstrations, panel discussions, contests, and other activities, as well as a day of training. This training will be open to vendors.
We are increasing our attendance slightly to 115 TSCM practitioners, plus vendors and speakers. These attendees will want to see and try the latest in TSCM innovation. At SkinnyCon we encourage hands-on participation from our vendors and attendees.
On this page you will find our sponsor FAQs, a detailed breakdown of the sponsorship levels available, and a venue tour. While our nominal ticket prices help to offset the cost of running this event, it is our sponsors who truly enable SkinnyCon to take place and be the best it can be.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Thanks again for your consideration,
Sincerely,
Jason Baird

Frequently Asked Questions
Why SkinnyCon?
We conducted an extensive, scientifically rigorous survey of the TSCM community to find out what they would like to call their conference (we put a poll in our Discord). With votes from multiple respondents representing a variety of agencies, SkinnyCon was chosen from among such worthies as Detecticon, Y’all Con, TechCon, and Sweepstakes. Believe me when I relay our surprise that SkinnyCon was the winner.
What is SkinnyCon?
SkinnyCon is a private conference dedicated to building the government TSCM community by providing interactive workshops, engaging talks, and a space for community members to build stronger connections. Too often the TSCM community has to settle for conferences that are TSCM adjacent and choose from activities and talks that may or may not be helpful. We hope to bring the discipline of TSCM center stage and to rally around those that have chosen to make it a career. This event will take place in Huntsville, Alabama at the I2C Invention to Innovation building on the University of Alabama Huntsville campus. SkinnyCon is hosted by Skinny Research & Development. This conference is not open to the general public, and will not be publicly advertised. No photos or videos may be taken at this event without permission of the subjects.
How will my sponsorship dollars be used?
The money will be used to give attendees the best experience possible. Our largest cost is facilities. After that, we hope to be able to provide the following refreshments: pastry breakfast daily, coffee, tea, and snacks daily, and a catered lunch at least one day. Each attendee will receive hardware for training during the conference. We would ideally like to give attendees that hardware in a high quality bag-o-swag. Last year’s hardware haul had a $375 price tag. Your sponsorship dollars help to keep the cost of attendance accessible to the community.
In addition to sponsorship, how can we help?
Bring equipment for attendees to touch and try. Show techniques attendees might not know exist. We want to make this conference as interactive as possible. For example, during the conference we will have devices spread throughout for people to track. Perhaps you may offer up some equipment to help an attendee with that effort. During the conference we will have time for vendors to provide workshops. If you would like to participate, be prepared with a topic. Our vendor space is limited and we want to make the most of it; please prepare to bring your nerdy A-game!
How much time will be available for participants to interact with sponsors?
Check-in begins at 0800 each day. From 0800-0900 we will provide coffee and a pastry breakfast. During this time participants will be available for full interaction. In addition, each day will include a 30 minute morning break, and a 1.5 hour lunch break. Attendees have the freedom to drop by during or between events throughout the conference. Finally, as mentioned above, time will be dedicated to training and workshops that can be run from your dedicated table space should you choose to participate in that way.
Participants will also interact with sponsors through our Capture the Flag event. We will be asking sponsors to provide points-based challenges for attendees to complete. There will be a 2.5 hour block of the second day dedicated to the CTF.
I’m in! What do I do now?
First things first, scroll on down and choose a sponsorship level. Once you have decided how boujee you want to be, use the payment link (coming soon) or send us an email for other payment options. After signing up, each sponsor will receive a welcome packet containing a guide to Huntsville, information about and directions to the venue, venue parking passes, and specific details about individual table set-ups.
Sponsorship Levels
We want to make the best TSCM conference in the world (we know we said we are the only one…we can still have standards). Thank you for taking the time to consider joining us in that endeavor.
Conference tickets included with sponsorship will be for attendance only and will not include training hardware unless otherwise stated. Any sponsor wishing to receive the hardware for full training participation is welcome to purchase an attendee ticket. To purchase an attendee ticket, please visit our Attendee Page (general sales open October 15). All sponsors are welcome to audit training without hardware.

Big Dog
$12,500
SkinnyCon can continue as is with our incredible Papis and Queens. This level of sponsorship would give us the opportunity to field more attendees, and give those attendees exciting tech and training well beyond what their ticket price will cover. We have space for two Big Dogs in our current venue. If this level is not selected, atrium space is first come first served. We will note the order of commitments and atrium spaces will be assigned accordingly.
