3D Printing for TSCM

3D Printing for TSCM provides TSCM practitioners with the capability to rapidly produce essential support equipment at the moment of mission need. From custom antenna mounts to discrete enclosures for long term placement of receiver systems, this class teaches a mindset that proclaims, “If you can dream it, you can make it.” In addition this course provides an understanding of additive manufacturing which helps students understand how this equipment can be leveraged for adversarial means.

Topics covered include basic safety practices, 3D printing workflows, common terminology, filament types and applications, free and paid slicing software, 3D model acquisition, introduction to computer-aided design (CAD) and Autodesk Fusion, 3D printing digital forensic artifacts, free and paid CAD software suites, practical applications for law enforcement and technical surveillance, and printer maintenance and troubleshooting.

Students will receive:

  • Bambu Lab P2S 3D Printer & AMS2 Filament Management System
  • 4 Spools of Bambu filament (2 Basic PLA, 1 PETG High Flow, 1 ASA)
  • Digital Micrometer
  • Basic 3D printing toolkit
  • Soldering Iron with threaded insert adapters & threaded inserts
